About this Event
The Mt. Healthy Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America (IWLA) is excited to offer this FREE for all ages with FUN, outdoor active learning.
You can practice rod-n-reel fishing, geocache, taste some outdoor campfire cooking - SMORES!, venture on a scavenger hunt, make a craft and play self guided games. Older children ages 8 and up can challenge themselves to archery, fire building and sling slot. All children must be accompanied by an adult. You will rotate through activities; there are more activities than the time to do them all in 2.5 hours.
Each family or individual adult receives a swag bag filled with an ODNR pocket guide on local wildlife or plants, information on IWLA upcoming events and membership PLUS snacks to enjoy at home.
Only one ticket is needed per individual, family or group. You will be able to list the # and ages during the registration process. All activities are held outdoors; storms or heavy rain will delay the start or end the activities early.
Funding for this program is provided by the Step Outside grant from the Ohio Dept. of Natural Resources, Division of Wildlife and the IWLA Ohio Division. IWLA is a non-profit conservation organization that provides outdoor recreation and nature education opportunities while encouraging sustainable use of our natural resources.
