About the Speaker
Laney McCormick is the co-founder of Scene Support Music, where she works as a Music Supervisor, Clearance Specialist, and Sync Agent. She helps filmmakers and creatives discover and license music that fits both their creative vision and their budget, while also championing musicians by placing their work in film, television, advertising, podcasts, and video games.
A former music educator of 20 years, Laney continues to guide filmmakers and artists through the often-complex world of music licensing.
She is also an accomplished vocalist and multi-instrumentalist who has performed with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra, Vocal Arts Ensemble, the Glenn Miller Orchestra, and her jazz combo Laney & the Tramps.
Her music placements and supervision work includes projects for NBC, Peacock, Showtime, MTV, Hallmark, SyFy, CBC, BBC and more.
