Free Movement Classes

Are you an adult who has been affected by the child welfare system or family separation? Do you sometimes find it hard to cope with your past, or relate to others, or even…to “adult” properly? Dovecote Dance is a community program designed for you and people like you. We offer free movement classes at no cost as a means of building community, improving mental health, and providing a space for expression, rest, and healing. No prior dance experience required. Registrants may include previous foster care youth, DCF-impacted parents, previously unaccompanied refugee minors, foster parents, workers in DCF-adjacent spaces, and other categories.
