The night parade is the official kickoff for the South Carolina Pride Festival. The parade begins at 7 p.m. After the parade, there is entertainment on the Main Stage. This year, our group will have a float and a walking group accompanying it. Our parade group number will be released closer to the event.

**Planning Ahead**
If you participated previously, it is the same route — Intersection of Main and Laurel streets to Lady Street. The parade is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
• Wear a Free Mom Hugs shirt and comfortable shoes for standing and walking. Shirts available at : https://store.freemomhugs.org
• Bring light-up materials or accessories to light up the parade.
• Complete the national volunteer registry if you haven’t already. If you’re already registered, you do not need to register again. First time registrants visit http://freemomhugs.org/volunteer.
**Before the Parade**
Arrive and park at your convenience. There are two parking garages on Taylor Street and one on Washington Street. Check out the hours of operation before parking.
**Parade Walkers** (Times may be updated closer to the event)
Be at the assembly area (1100 Block of Laurel Street ) sometime between 5:15-6 p.m. Our float should arrive in the assembly area around 5 p.m. From 5:30-7 p.m. we'll decorate the float, get ready, assemble the walking banner and pass out stickers. Walkers need to be in the parade assembly area no later than 6 p.m. The parade should roll at 7 p.m. We'll follow the flow of the parade to a safe area when we can disassemble the decorations.
**After the Parade**
When the parade ends, we are done for the night. You're free to go or stick around for the concert and entertainment at Lady and Main streets.
