Come to our FREE Modern Square Dance Party at Old Shawnee Town Hall, 11600 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, KS, on Tuesday, January 27th, at 7PM and find out what all of the buzz is about!This event is the perfect, low-stakes way to check out this amazing social activity. Plan on being there around 6:45 so you have time to get checked in before the fun begins. This will be a 2-hour dance party (with breaks). Each "tip" will build on the previous one, so plan on attending the entire event.
This event is for everyone! Singles and couples are encouraged to attend! No partner? No problem! Youth ages 8 and older are welcome when accompanied by an adult.
Square Dancing is a fun and immersive experience that is mentally, as well as physically, stimulating.
You say, "But I can't dance!" And to that I say, "Oh posh!" Square dancing is actually walking to music - not dancing. If you can walk, hear, and know your right from your left - you can square dance!!
I hope you will join us for this FREE event! I'd love for all of my friends to try out square dancing at least once in their adult life, and this FREE Square Dance Open House is an excellent way to try it out without making any future commitments.
