ABOUT
Join us for a Mindfulness Course at Langworthy Cornerstone Community Centre, Salford. Across 3-weeks you will learn how to be present in the moment, reduce stress, and improve your overall wellbeing. This in-person event is a great opportunity to connect with others and focus on your mental health.
WHY MINDFULNESS?
Clinical trials have shown that mindfulness meditation can be as effective as prescription painkillers, and can enhance the body’s natural healing systems. Mindfulness can also reduce the anxiety, depression, irritability, exhaustion, and insomnia that arises from chronic pain and illness.
This programme consists of scientifically-backed mindfulness and compassion techniques from over 30 years of experience dealing with health conditions.
The 3-week course will guide you through mindfulness meditations and simple daily practices to help you become more aware of your thoughts, feelings and the world around you. On leaving the course, you will have the tools to better manage your condition, allowing you to live a fuller and richer life.

ABOUT BREATHWORKS
We are a charity, based in Manchester, that gives people living with pain, stress, and illness the mindfulness-based tools to lead more fulfilling lives. Our story began 23 years ago, when Vidyamala Burch OBE (best selling author, speaker & disability advocate) launched thefirst ever mindfulness-based pain management programme, which has since transformed the lives of thousands worldwide. HOW DO I TAKE PART?
This course has been fully funded by the UK Government, so places are FREE for Trafford and Salford residents. You are eligible to apply if you have a health condition, such as pain, chronic illness, stress or anxiety, or if you are of older age. You are also eligible if you are a carer of somebody with health difficulties.
