We Grow Food is hosting a free, hands-on March Break Seedling Workshop for the Whitby community, welcoming 400+ participants to learn the basics of growing food at home. This interactive workshop is designed for families, children, and community members of all experience levels who are interested in starting seeds and preparing for the spring growing season.

Participants will create their own seed starters using take-home wicking pots, learn how to sprout seeds using both soil and soilless methods, and receive simple, practical tips for indoor spring growing. To accommodate more families, the event will be offered in two identical sessions, one in the morning (10:00 AM–12:00 PM) and one in the afternoon (2:00–4:00 PM). This engaging and educational workshop is a fun way to spend March Break while building skills, confidence, and excitement around growing food.
