Join Sarah Williams at Orewa Library for this Love Food Hate Waste school holiday workshop for kids and their parents/care-givers. We’ll discuss why reducing food waste is important and simple ways everyone can achieve this at home. You’ll learn about microgreens – a cost effective green food that you can grow in your home all year round. Together we’ll make a take-home microgreen growing kit made from recycled materials so you can see how easy it is to reduce food and packaging waste by growing your own!!Bring 2 plastic take away or ice cream containers (1 litre size) per child.
This workshop is designed for children 6-12 years old and their parents/caregivers. Each child must be accompanied by an adult. Please register one ticket per child and one ticket per adult as spaces will be limited.
While this event is FREE, booking is essential: https://compostcollective.org.nz/events/free-love-food-hate-waste-diy-microgreen-orewa/
