THIS THURSDAY at the Bayview Community Centre: a FREE information day for people with pre-diabetes or Type 2 diabetes.Diabetes Self-Management Education helps you better understand diabetes, its causes and how to maintain/better your health. Run by a Diabetes Nurse Educator and Dietitian from Comprehensive Care, the day covers:
- healthy eating
- how to stop/control effects of diabetes on the body
- medications
- goal setting
- how to best work with your health team.
All kai provided, and each attendee will receive a free bag of seasonal fruit and veges to take home.
