About this Event
Join us for an enriching cultural afternoon celebrating Blackfoot knowledge, art, and storytelling.
Guided by Elder Joyce Healy of the Kainai First Nation, participants will be introduced to the teachings of the Medicine Wheel and create their own personal wheel to bring home.
Afterward, immerse yourself in Blackfoot cosmos and creation stories through a hands-on painting session with interdisciplinary artist Chataya Holy Singer. Learn the meaning behind traditional Blackfoot designs and symbols as you paint your own night-sky masterpiece inspired by these teachings.
This meaningful and creative experience offers a rare opportunity to learn, reflect, and connect with Indigenous culture while leaving with two unique artworks that honor Blackfoot heritage.
