MU Health Care’s cancer team is taking on the sixth most common cancer with free head and neck cancer screenings on Friday, April 24 at Ellis Fischel Cancer Center (1 University Drive in Columbia, Missouri). Head and neck cancers make up about 4% of all cancers in the United States and typically start in the pink lining of the mouth, nose or throat. Most are squamous cell carcinomas, which form in the middle and outer layers of the skin. When caught early, many head and neck cancers are often curable.
Sign up for a free screening!
Screenings take about 15 minutes and include a skin check of the face, scalp and neck. Space is limited. Reserve your spot today at: https://www.muhealth.org/form/head-neck-screening-registration.
