Relax among a redwood forest as you de-stress and clear your mind. Activity is at the Howland Hill Outdoor School; carpooling is suggested.
About this Event

Immerse yourself in nature with a guided forest bathing (Shinrin-Yoku) experience by a certified guide, Erica Silver of The Redwood Path. Each guest will receive an essential oil to take home.

Immerse yourself in nature as Erica Silver from The Redwood Path guides you through a shinrin-yoku (which translates to "Forest Bathing" in Japanese) session in the heart of the redwoods. The Japanese practice of forest bathing is said to help reduce stress and improve your general health, as you inhale the negative ions from the forest air and take in the nature around you through the sight, sounds, and smells of the forest.

This activity is FREE, but you will need to register due to limited space. All registered participants will receive an email with directions to the exact location, Howland Hill Outdoor School, located off Howland Hill Road -- a historic stagecoach road that winds through Redwood National and State Parks in Del Norte County, California. Carpooling highly suggested due to limited parking.

IMPORTANT: By attending, individuals consent to being photographed and the use of those images for promotional purposes, including advertising, websites, and social media.

This event is part of the annual Kamome Festival happening on April 11-18, 2026. This event is kindly brought to you by Jacobs.

Redwood Parks Conservancy's mission is to foster understanding, enjoyment, and stewardship by providing support to our partner agencies – the National Park Service, California State Parks, Bureau of Land Management, and the U.S. Forest Service – who are entrusted with the care of northern California’s public lands. These coastal public lands are special places, rich with historical, cultural, and natural resources that inspire those who visit them. Through expanded education, these unique resources will be enjoyed and protected for generations to come.
