Join us for our third annual Free First Friday LEGO® festival — a full evening of building, music, gallery tours, and community at both museum locations.LEGO® CONTEST JUDGING NIGHT
The highlight of the evening: local LEGO® Masters TV show contestants Brad Bergman and Mike Tarrant will judge our Third Annual Community LEGO® Competition at 6 pm in the Old City Hall Rotunda Room. Stop by early (5:30 pm) to meet Brad and Mike, hear about their time on the show, and cast your vote for the People's Choice award. Colorful Creations from local builders of all ages will be on display from noon through 9 pm.
LEGO® BRICK PIT
Lightcatcher Studio | 1 – 5 pm
Drop in and build! Brad and Mike will run pop-up building stations throughout the afternoon for LEGO® lovers ages 4 – 99.
LEGO® FRIENDSHIP BRACELETS
Old City Hall | 2 – 4 pm
Build and braid a friendship bracelet using LEGO® bricks. A colorful make-and-take craft for all ages.
FOR THE LITTLES
Lightcatcher | 10:15 am – 11:30 am
Start your morning with a Sweet Art Tour of "Personal to Political" for ages 1 – 5, followed by Baby and Toddler Music Classes with Little Sapling Music at 10:30, 11, and 11:30 am.
GALLERY TOURS
Lightcatcher and Old City Hall | 1 pm, 2 pm, 5 pm, and 6 pm
Explore our current exhibitions with guided docent tours of "Hard Edge/Soft Ground" and "Personal to Political" at the Lightcatcher (1 and 6 pm), or join geologist George Mustoe for tours of "Painted Forest" at Old City Hall (2 and 5 pm).
CHILDREN'S ART WALK
Lightcatcher Courtyard | 4 – 6 pm (games and bubbles until 8 pm)
Yard games, bubbles, outdoor crafting, and cheerful music in the Lightcatcher Courtyard. Plus, pop your face into one of the floral picture frames from Bellingham Blooms and North Sound Flower Cooperative — frames are scattered across downtown all evening.
LIVE MUSIC WITH LIMITED ADDITION
Old City Hall | 6:30 – 8 pm
Cap the night with Limited Addition, a seven-piece jazz and pop band of Western Washington University students drawing from Clairo, Stevie Wonder, Miles Davis, and more.

Exhibitions and galleries are open until 9 pm on the first Friday of every month, and the Family Interactive Gallery (FIG) is open until 6 pm.
