Join us for Free Family Sunday on April 12th! Ruthmere Museum will be open for tours at NO charge from 1 pm to 4 pm (last tour beginning about 15-20 minutes before 4 pm). The Ruthmere Mansion was built in 1910 for Albert & Elizabeth Beardsley, members of Elkhart's founding family. Enjoy a fully-furnished walk through history, complete with a world-class art collection and awe-inspiring architecture.~ NOTE that tour guests do NOT have to start at the Beardsley Discovery Center for Free Family Sunday tours. They may come directly to Ruthmere. ~
The first Sunday of each month April - November, either Ruthmere Museum or Havilah Beardsley House is open to the public for no admission charged between 1-4pm. Ruthmere is open in April, June, August and October. The Havilah Beardsley House is open May, July, September and November.
When one site is open for a Free Family Sunday, the other site is closed. The Havilah Beardsley House will be CLOSED on Sunday, April 12, 2026.
