Phnom Penh’s Riverside Walk Street will host the open-air cultural event “European Dance Music: The Sound of Germany” on Saturday, 28 February 2026, from 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM. Supported by the European Union and the German Embassy in Phnom Penh, the free public event celebrates intercultural exchange through contemporary European electronic music.
Taking place at the Decho Meas Decho Yat Statue area (opposite Amanjaya Pancam Suites Hotel), the program introduces Cambodian audiences to the internationally influential Berlin techno culture — a movement born after the fall of the Berlin Wall and recognized as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2024.
The lineup features Berlin-connected DJs Steffen Sonnenschein (Miteinander / Germany) and Tommy Schultz & Nick Meta, representing Phnom Penh’s “Sound of Berlin” imprint. Alongside music, visitors can enjoy German street food specialties and cold German beers.
The event highlights culture as a bridge between Europe and Cambodia, transforming Riverside Walk Street into a vibrant space for music, dialogue, and shared community experience.
Free Entrance — Open to the Public
