Turtle Tour 2024 Walk & Talk no.3 of 7 exploring Lake Goollelal, Perth WA ??? Its that time again to start spreading the joy and excitement in preparation for the 2024 Nesting Season of our South-western Snake-necked Turtles or Oblong Turtles or perhaps you're like me and have taken to calling them "shell pups" ???
This walk will be focused on the wildlife surrounding the Lake above and below the surface with the hope of sharing the sighting of a truly legendary female oblong turtle that exceeds the maximum shell length of 30cm! We'll have the chance to spot some other species such as: Blue wrens, Kangaroos, Quendas to list a few along with a variety of water bird species ?????
I will be setting up a table with my educational posters along with ones promoting 1 Million Turtles and TurtleSAT and also at my little table I will have available for the kids and big kids (of course) to get hands on with some preserved specimens ???
Make sure to bring all your questions or concerns, let's start a conversation about turtles while we watch some truly unique reptiles!
