Looking for a fun, social, and full-body workout on the water? 🛶
Come paddle with the Fury River Dragons for free training sessions on the beautiful Canning River!
Dragon boating is fantastic for fitness, teamwork, and mental health — and everyone’s welcome, no experience needed.
Any fitness level is perfect to start — at our club, teens train alongside an 80-year-old legend!
🕒 Training Times
Tuesdays & Thursdays: 6:00 – 7:30 pm
Sundays: 8:00 – 10:30 am
☕ Optional coffee after training at Canning River Café
NO TRAINING 8 February and 2 March due to regattas at Champion Lakes. Come and support us :)
Eligibility
Anyone 10+ is welcome.
If you cannot swim 50 meters, we will give you a life jacket
🧢 What to Bring
We provide the boat, paddle, and coaching — just bring:
☀️ Comfy clothes & water shoes (you might get splashed)
🎩 Hat, sunscreen & water
😄 Good vibes (and maybe a friend!)
💸 Cost & Insurance
Your first month is fully covered by Dragon Pass insurance.
If you love it, continuing membership costs only about $3–4 per training annually (yes, really!).

Canning River Canoe Club shed next to Caning River Cafe
If you’re 5–10 minutes late, head to Kent Street Weir - look for people in orange t-shirts and a long boat
If you are late or have difficulty finding us, reach us in Messenger
⚠️ If not enough paddlers, training will be off water
