About this Event

Free Community NADA Acupuncture Every Tuesday: 1:15pm is the Community Appointment Time (10 appointments available) will be reserved for those in the community interested in trying out holistic treatments of acupuncture, or do not have a beloved on service, and have completed our 13 month Bereavement Program. This is a shared group Community session where all 10 chairs are placed in a large circle in our conference room and everyone is treated in the same room.  Everyone gets the same treatment to help alleviate stress. After ear needles and ear seeds are placed on each person, Dr. Lathrop leads the group in a guided meditation. Our goal is to help promote relaxation accompanied by a calming spa like atmosphere, candlelight and soothing music to help restore the mind, body and get some down time to just be.

We are aiming to create a tranquil and distraction-free environment where everyone can fully immerse themselves in relaxation to receive their acupuncture treatment(s).  Since everyone is in one room we ask to turn off, or silence your cell phones, to help promote a quiet setting for all of those getting an acupuncture treatment. It as an opportunity to unplug and fully engage in the present moment and make the most of the experience. We express our gratitude and thank you for honoring our sacred community acupuncture sanctuary.

Text Rebekah Finn at 858.833.0546 or reach out via email [email protected] to ORDER TO CONFIRM A SPOT and learn more, and ask questions.  She books appointments in advance so if you have been wanting to try please reach out and reserve a future Tuesday

A description of the protocol used at the 1:15pm appointments is below.

Exploring the NADA Acupuncture Protocol: Efficacy and Applications

Acupuncture, a traditional Chinese medicine practice, has gained widespread recognition for its therapeutic benefits in treating various health conditions. One particular acupuncture protocol, known as the NADA protocol, has garnered attention for its efficacy in addressing issues such as addiction, stress, and emotional imbalances. In this article, we will delve into the NADA acupuncture protocol, its components, and its effectiveness in clinical settings.

Understanding the NADA Protocol

The NADA protocol, also referred to as the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association protocol, was developed in the 1970s by Dr. Michael Smith, a physician working in the South Bronx of New York City. This protocol is a standardized auricular acupuncture treatment that involves the insertion of fine needles into specific points on the outer ear.

The NADA protocol typically involves the insertion of five needles into specific ear points: the sympathetic point, shen men, liver, lung, and kidney points. These points are believed to correspond to various organs and systems in the body according to traditional Chinese medicine theory.

Applications of the NADA Protocol

1. **Stress and Anxiety:** The NADA protocol is also utilized to address stress, anxiety, and emotional imbalances. By stimulating specific ear points, the protocol is thought to promote relaxation, balance the nervous system, and improve mood. This makes it beneficial for individuals dealing with chronic stress, anxiety disorders, and mood-related issues.
