The program spans a wide range of film styles and eras, including silent films, early talkies, animation, noir, gothic horror and supernatural films, romance, musicals, Hollywood classics, independent and arthouse cinema, and avant-garde works. Special emphasis is placed on the contributions of Jewish composers, whose influence on 20th-century film and popular music is profound and lasting.
