Yin to Vin is a fusion of elements from both Yin and Vinyasa styles of yoga – sometimes referred to as Yinyasa . The longer held Yin poses will focus on working the connective tissue while the dynamic style of Vinyasa (flow) will warm up and challenge the muscles in the body. The intention of this class is to gain space in the body and energetic focus in the mind.This free community class will start with a short meditation followed by several Yin poses. The sequence will then start to transition to a Vinyasa style flow preparing you for the rest of your day.
Props such as blocks, bolsters, straps, and blankets will be used to support your body throughout the class. We ask that you bring in your own props to class. The studio will provide a limited number of props that will be available for use.
The room will be cooled off to a comfortable 75 degrees with music playing to guide us through the sequence.
