Free Comic Book Day seeks to promote comic books and local comic book shops. This day encourages everyone to visit their local comic book shop. Participating shops offer free comic books to anyone who visits. Major publishers such as DC, Marvel, and Dark Horse put out free copies of comics for fans to enjoy. Independent publishers also put out free copies. This day also includes events such as costume contests, signings, and raffles. It is a day for comic book fans new and old.Free comics limit 5 per customer and one of each title.
