-Kristina M. Hoffman is an author and illustration artist with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Shepherd University. In January 2024 she wrote, illustrated, edited, and published her first book, influenced by several tabletop RPG games she played with her friends and husband. She deliberately uses her illustrations, character personalities, and writing style to evoke feelings of nostalgia in her readers. Inspired by 1980s and 1990s books, comics, and cartoons, Hoffman crafted her style to resemble the entertainment of that time. She published three coloring books in March 2025.
-Brandon Bloxdorf is the founder and host of Apollo City Comics Podcast, co-founder of Apollo City Comics Publishing, and the Director of Brand and Community at Comix Wellspring. With a BFA in Creative Writing, he has worked with various indie artists to put out Apollo’s first anthology, a punk rock comic book titled ...And Out Come The Comics.
Apollo City Comics now has over 20+ titles in production including works by Brandon such as Teenage Babylon, Fake Your Death, various anthologies, and more!
After 5 successful years of running the Apollo City Comics Podcast, Brandon has embarked on a new journey as the host of Comix Wellspring’s shows, Inspired Ink — a show where he conducts exclusive interviews with indie creators to help continuously inspire others to create comics — and Spilled Ink — a live-drawing show where Brandon and co-host Max Flowers ink various art pieces while discussing the process.
By day he’s growing and sharing the indie comic book community, and by night he devours universes.
-Joey Esposito grew up in New England reading comic books, playing video games, renting movies, and writing stories. After high school, Joey attended film school in New York. In college, Joey honed his writing skills, which he soon applied to his love of prose and comics.
After moonlighting as Long Island’s premier Starbucks barista, Joey wrote his first creator-owned comic book series, FOOTPRINTS (with Jonathan Moore), which was featured in USA Today’s Best of 2011 roundup and inspired a sequel, FOOTPRINTS: BAD LUCK CHARM, in 2014. His all-ages superhero series CAPTAIN ULTIMATE (with Ben Bailey and Boy Akkerman) was released in 2013 to overwhelming positive reception and his 2015 graphic novel, PAWN SHOP (with Sean Von Gorman), was released to critical acclaim.
In 2017, he was accepted into DC Comics’ exclusive Writers Workshop. Since his time in the program, Joey has published stories featuring major characters like Batman, Robin, Harley Quinn, Aquaman, and many more on titles such as BATMAN: URBAN LEGENDS, AQUAMAN AND THE LOST KINGDOM, and more to be announced. His comic book work has also appeared at Image Comics, Valiant Comics, Archie Comics, and others.
His creator-owned series with PAWN SHOP co-creator Sean Von Gorman, THE PEDESTRIAN, was nominated for the Eisner Award for Best New Series in 2025.
He lives in Maine with his wife and pets in a house full of soulmates.
-Jesse Lonergan is a comic book artist living in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. His comic work is known for its experimental layouts and innovative page compositions, playing with the formal elements of the comics medium to tell stories in new and original ways. He works with both mainstream and indie publishers, as well as dabbling in self-publishing. His wordless comic HEDRA was nominated for an Eisner for best single issue in 2020, and his graphic novel DROME was featured on many best-of-the-year lists in 2025. He likes distorted guitars, tiny-tiled floors, junk food, old maps, and watching movies about sad robots.
WOW! You weren't kidding, those are some amazing guests! Yes, I'm talking to myself here. But hey, it wouldn't be a Four Color Fantasies event without a raffle! All of our guests will be raffling off some cool stuff AND we'll have a special Four Color Fantasies Box o' Stuff as part of the raffle! Tickets are just $1 each or $5 gets you 7!
