Grab your favorite road trip snack and buckle up for this Florida foodie adventure. In partnership with Florida Humanities and the Smithsonian Institute, seven historical societies across the state have created exhibitions about their town's unique foodways. Food journalist and cookbook author Dalia Colón served as lead scholar for the project, helping the organizations to synthesize historical research, artifacts and contemporary interviews. In celebration of the exhibitions' openings, Dalia invites you on a journey through all seven towns. At each stop, we will explore culinary history, current tastemakers and audio excerpts from Dalia's food reporting adventures. After getting a taste of the exhibitions, you'll be hungry to embark on your own Florida foodie road trip!
