Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois invites community members to a free, family-friendly Gift of Caring event on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 1-4 p.m. at 365 Randall Road, South Elgin near the corner of Randall and Stearns Roads. Children of all ages are invited to explore a fire engine, police vehicle, dump truck, cement truck, military Humvee and truck, tractor, Skid Steer, and more!Event participants are encouraged to purchase packages of Girl Scout Cookies to be donated to military service personnel locally and around the world. Other cookie donations will be delivered by Girl Scouts to local first responders, teachers, medical facilities, healthcare personnel, essential workers, and food banks. Girl Scout Cookies are $6 per package.
Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois’ goal is to receive a community donation of 100 cookie packages at this event. If this goal is reached, two generous sponsors have each pledged to match the donation with an additional 100 cookie packages. These sponsors are Diane Tanke, Broker and Realtor with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Starck Real Estate and Claire Kent, Associate Financial Advisor and Certified Military Financial Advisor with Envision Financial Advisory Services.
