Richmond RCMP, in partnership with Richmond Fire-Rescue, ICBC and BCAA, is holding a free car seat clinic to help parents and caregivers ensure their child seats are installed and used safely. To book an appointment: Call 604-207-4761. Space is limited.
The Child Passenger Safety Program, launched by Richmond RCMP in 2022, continues to support families by providing guidance on the correct use and installation of child car seats. During the clinic, certified child passenger safety educators, including RCMP officers and trained community volunteers, will conduct individual car seat audits. These checks confirm that seats meet Canadian safety standards, are not expired and are properly fitted based on the child’s age, weight and height.
Each session lasts about 30 to 45 minutes and gives caregivers practical, hands-on instruction to help them feel confident in securing their child safely.
