Meet the Speakers!
Dr Sarah Gibson Yates
Sarah will share insights from her recent work using generative AI to co-write a short drama centred on therapeutic chatbots. She’ll discuss the creative spark behind the project, how screenwriters can meaningfully integrate AI into their process, and why human storytelling instincts matter now more than ever.
Dr Sacha Krstulović
Sacha will demonstrate how AI automation is reshaping a wide spectrum of music-making tasks, from composition and audio restoration to stem separation, voice transformation, and automatic mastering. He’ll explore the balance between innovation and ethics and highlight why understanding the technology is crucial to making empowered creative choices.
Dr Raffaella Folgieri
Raffaella will cut through the hype to explain what AI actually is today, and what it isn’t. Focusing on Generative Large Language Models (GLLMs), she’ll unpack their real-world implications for artists, creators, and the wider creative industries.
Adam Morley
Adam will unveil Elstree Studios’ upcoming Immersive Experience, created for their centenary celebrations; an AI-led, interactive journey through filmmaking, animation, and the wider creative industries.
Vine FX
The award-winning team at Vine FX will take us behind the scenes of their recent de-ageing work on Bill Nighy for Lazarus (now streaming on Prime Video). They’ll reveal how R&D Developer Peter Noble trained a domain-specific ML model using thousands of facial images and synthetic young/old pairs seamlessly combined with a full-CG head and subtle plate blending to preserve likeness and micro-expressions.
