Is your business running on a less than optimal bookkeeping system and you aren't sure how to transition into a more functional system? Learn the basics of bookkeeping, what you need to have in place and the tasks you need to do, or hire out for. It includes an hour of personalized one-on-one support to help you apply what you learned to your own business. This class is designed for small and micro business owners who want to understand the fundamentals of bookkeeping and move forward with confidence about their finances.
Hour 1: Bookkeeping Basics
- Understanding income and expenses, assets and liabilities
- How to organize financial records and bookkeeping processes
- Basics of accounts, categories, and reconciliations
- Common bookkeeping mistakes and how to avoid them
No prior experience is required. Concepts are explained in simple, practical terms with real-world examples.
Hour 2: One-on-One Support
Following the class, each participant receives personalized support that allows you to:
- Ask questions specific to your business or finances
- Review your current bookkeeping setup
- Get guidance on tools, workflows, or next steps
- Clarify anything from the class at your own pace
- Bring your laptop and accounting software
By the end of the program, you’ll have a stronger understanding of bookkeeping basics and a clear path forward for managing your finances more effectively.
