FREE Beach Yoga & Cold Water Swim event.
This event takes place on the grass in front of the restaurants at Eden on the Bay, Blouberg - Tuesdays at 9::00am. (Please note that we start at 9am in the warmer months).
This is is a fun event but it is so wonderfully nourishing and good for mind, body and soul. The yoga will be an easy flow so anyone can join in (all ages, all fitness levels, beginners welcome) and the swimming is optional.
We will meet on the grass between 8:30am and 09:00am and the yoga will be about one hour till 10:00 followed by an invigorating swim in the chilly blue sea (optional)
Things to consider for this event:
• I suggest using a big beach towel for the yoga rather than dirtying a yoga mat as sometimes the grass is still damp. Or perhaps a towel under your mat.
• Bring an additional towel for the swimming.
• Perhaps it would be easiest to do the yoga in your cozzie with something comfortable over rather than trying to change. Wear some layers that you can take off as you warm up during the yoga.
• Also bring water, sun block, something to cover your face when lying down (like a light top or small towel ... and it’s very important to bring warm clothes for after the swim.
• If you are not used to swimming in the cold water it’s important to take it slow initially. Even 5 minutes will do you good. • Depending on the temperature and roughness of the sea, we will aim for 20 minutes in the water for those who can.
