Meet staff at the Main Entrance to the Gallery at 11am and receive directions to Gallery 25 for an 11:15am start.
Join Magda Keaney, Head Curator, International Art and Lucina Ward, Senior Curator, International Art to discuss the relationship between body and architecture in the exhibition Blueprints for Temples.
The body is our fundamental spatial reference โ newbornโs field of vision is contained by the space in which they are held. Babies learn about their physical world through interactions with their carers. Artists across cultures and millennia have considered and celebrated the human body in relation to built spaces. Magda and Lucina will reflect on the significance of the body for the artists in the exhibition.
Emily Casey, Program Convenor, Kids & Families, will provide tactile materials to support your babyโs aesthetic development alongside their motor and social skills.
