Who Should Attend? This beginner-friendly course is ideal for:
- Spectators
- Coaches
- Kids 12 years and older
Knowing the rules of the game helps players and coaches improve, grow, and better support their team!
Why Become a Referee?
� Keep the game fair and safe
� Allow coaches to focus on coaching, not refereeing
� Uphold the integrity of the game (not all coaches know ALL the rules)
� Serve as a neutral mediator and help reduce conflict
Youth Referees Can also:
� Earn community service hours
� Receive rewards from the AYSO for reffing
� Gain experience needed to become a paid referee in the future
Our Community Needs You!
Only a small handful of Carson Valley residents are currently refereeing our kids’ soccer games, and they are tired. �
They generously sacrifice their time so our kids can play. The more referees we have, the more we can share the responsibility — reducing the time commitment for each volunteer.

What’s Required?
1. Complete a few online classes (must be finished before the in person course on March 14th)
2. Attend the 4-hour in-person course
3. Volunteer a few hours during the soccer season
