About this Event
Is there a place along the Cockburn coast that holds a special place in your heart?
A team of researchers at the University of Western Australia (UWA) are seeking local residents (aged 18+, residing in Atwell, Aubin Grove, Banjup, Beeliar, Bibra Lake, Cockburn Central, Coogee, Coolbellup, Hamilton Hill, Hammond Park, Henderson, Jandakot, Lake Coogee, Leeming, Munster, North Coogee, North Lake, South Lake, Spearwood, Success, Treeby, Wattleup, or Yangebup) to tell us about your coast through photography, textiles, or collage for a research study.
Join us in Cockburn for a workshop which will be led by a professional practicing artist. You will learn new skills during the workshop, and create art which will be used in our research.
Workshops are of 2-3 hours duration (see below) and will run at a location within the Cockburn area, on the times/dates subsequently specified. No previous experience is required, with friendly professional guidance provided by a local photographer or multi-media artist. All art materials and light refreshments will be provided. For the photography workshop you will either need a mobile phone with camera or any other form of camera which you are comfortable operating yourself.
Please select one workshop only - the workshop is free to attend but full registration is required. Once you have registered your preference on Eventbrite, we will email you required details for participation along with further information about the research and workshop. If you respond by agreeing to these conditions we will notify you of the venue.
