5,000 candy-filled eggs readied for kids!
Organizers of the annual Humboldt Park Easter Egg Hunt are ready for just about anything as they make final arrangements for the 23rd annual event scheduled for Saturday, April 5th.
The Easter Egg Hunt begins exactly at 11 a.m. on the west side of the park’s pavilion. It is open to children one year old through fourth grade. HPF will have approximately 5,000 candy-filled eggs scattered among five designated age zones – one for 1- and 2-year-olds, a second for 3- and 4-year-olds, a third for 5- and 6-year-olds (1st graders), a fourth for 2nd and 3rd graders, and a zone for 4th graders. Each zone will contain one golden egg with a special prize inside.
The Easter Bunny will be available for free photos with children and families from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and following the Egg Hunt.
There will be a free stroller check-in at the pavilion and egg recycling bins to place plastic eggs in after the egg hunt.
Parking is free along Park Road and Idaho St. within the park and on city streets surrounding the park. HPF asks families to allow plenty of time to find a parking spot and be respectful of neighborhood residents.
Pancake Breakfast and Food Drive
The Bay View Lions Club will again host a pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. inside the pavilion located at Park Road and E. Idaho St. Pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausages, and beverages cost $9 per person, $7 for children age 4-11 and $30 for a family of up to six (cash only). There is no charge for children 3 and under. Breakfast is on a first-come, first-served basis.
HPF will be collecting non-perishable food items for the Bay View Community Center.

HPF is grateful to The Family Mechanic, Landmark Credit Union, Bay View MacDonalds, Walgreens, and Target on Chase Avenue, Batter and Mac an Milwaukee County Parks for sponsoring the event along with donations from other local businesses.
