The Fred Hersch Trio, featuring pianist Fred Hersch, bassist John Hébert, and drummer Eric McPherson, has remained at the pinnacle of modern jazz and is venerated as the epitome of thrilling interplay and dynamic spontaneity. The trio played the inaugural concert on the Steinway B piano donated by Bob Feld and family in 2016 and they return tonight, ten years later, to commemorate that occasion. With more than twelve albums to their credit, their 2018 Live In Europe (Palmetto), which documents one remarkable evening in Brussels, has been hailed as their best to date.
