Nach ihrem kurzen Ausflug in die Welt des "growling metal" mit zwei zusätzlichen Stimmen widmet sich der französische Jazzbassist LAURENT DAVID mit seinen alten Mitstreitern ED ROSENBERG III (ex-JERSEYBAND) am Saxophon und KENNY GROHOWSKI (JOHN ZORN / IMPERIAL TRIUMPHANT) am Schlagzeug wieder der intimen Dreierformation, in der jeder der Drei genügend Freiraum bekommt, um dem bei uns so beliebten JAZZMETAL zu frönen.
Mit dem neuen Album TEN/TEN BILLION YEARS sind sie nun wieder zu dritt auf Europatour.

Kilter is an instrumental trio operating at the crossroads of contemporary jazz, metal, and experimental music. Founded by bassist and composer Laurent David, the band features Kenny Grohowski on drums (John Zorn, Imperial Triumphant) and Ed Rosenberg III on saxophones (Jerseyband).

Ten / Ten Billion Years is a double musical project by the Franco-American trio Kilter, at
the crossroads of jazz, metal, and experimental music. Composed of a 10-minute EP
(Ten) and a 40-minute album (Ten Billion Years), this sonic diptych traces a fascinating
odyssey: that of a water droplet born in space at the moment of the formation of the
solar system, whose journey leads it through matter, life, climate, and time, until its final
dissipation into the interstellar void.
The project offers an immersive, contemplative, and organic listening experience, in
which each note resonates like an echo from the depths of time. True to the spirit of
Kilter, it embodies uncompromising exploration, a singular musical language, and a
genre-defying fusion that goes beyond labels.
