Frank O'Hara's Walking Around NY Poems Tour
Join us for a unique experience exploring the streets of Manhattan's Village neighborhoods through the eyes and words of the iconic poet Frank O'Hara, who wrote poetry while walking around New York, or famously while having lunch.This in person event will take begin at the Tompkins Square Park Temperance Fountain, from where we walk westward while reading Frank's poetry at the specific addresses each poem mentions, and we will end at the Stonewall Monument. While we read the poems, we'll also talk about the history of these places and the people Frank knew them with. Get ready to walk in the footsteps of a literary legend and discover the poetry within New York's walls!
