
About this Event
High school students, thinking about a career in design and wondering where to start? Join us for the Cooper Hewitt Design Career Fair at Microsoft Garage! This annual event welcomes 9th -12th grade students to speak with National Design Award winners, guest designers, and colleges on the many pathways toward design. Designers from every discipline including fashion, architecture, product design, graphic design, UX, and more will be available to discuss everything from mentorship and college to the future of the field. Creative careers are growing fast to meet the needs of our changing world. See how these jobs fit into different industries and make an impact!
Snacks will be served.
REQUIRED WAIVER
IMPORTANT: Students at the Design Career Fair must have a copy of the waiver form, signed by a parent or guardian if under 18. Waivers will be sent for electronic signature to those listed as student emergency contacts, or can be printed and brought to the event. You will not be admitted without a waiver.
ACCESSIBILITY
Location: This program will take place at Microsoft Garage, located in SoHo (300 Lafayette Street, New York NY 10028) off the Broadway/Lafayette B,D,F, M and 6 Trains. The building is wheelchair accessible.
What to Expect: This event will feature a variety of designers and colleges seated at cafe-style tables. Students will be able to move freely around the event, asking questions and taking part in a ‘BINGO’ style game to support conversation. A ‘Know Before You Go’ guide will be mailed to all registrants 1 week prior to the event. Snacks will be served.
