Kick off AAPI Heritage Month with a free members-only historical experience and tasting at Frank Fat’s, an iconic Sacramento restaurant where history and flavor have met since 1939.
When Frank Fat opened his namesake restaurant, he never would have guessed his humble establishment would become a regional institution, political landmark, James Beard Award winner, and, currently, the oldest restaurant in Sacramento.
Hosted by Frank’s youngest son, Jerry Fat, and grandson, Kevin Fat, this event offers a rare perspective on the family’s journey from China to the heart of Sacramento.
The Experience:
- Go Behind the Scenes: Hear firsthand stories from the Fat family themselves as they describe Frank’s rise from a humble immigrant to a culinary legend.
- A Taste of History: Sample the iconic dishes that put Frank Fat’s on the map.
