How to get there: Main train station: Gare de Soissons (Soissons train station)
By train: search directly for Gare de Soissons train station
By plane: arrive at Charles de Gaulle airport, then take the RERB to Paris Gare du Nord, then take the TER to Soissons (1h30 in total). If you are traveling in group of 3+, best is to take a taxi directly to Soissons (55min).
The event location is 5min of taxi / uber ride from the train station
Weapons: katana
Brands accepted: Akado, Castille, Sigi
Max total length 100cm, max blade length 74cm, flex weight no more than 12kg
What if I don't have my own katana?
Two options:
1. You can buy your own akado katana on site with a 5% discount. Pls contact us beforehand
2. You can pay a loan sword fees of 20e to use loan equipment
Participation fees: 40e (plus 20e loan sword fee if applicable)
Tournament format: We guarantee that every fighter will be able to do a minimum of 5 matches and a maximum of 18 matches (depending on the final number of participants). No more traveling just to do 1-2 matches before elimination!
Outside of the main tournament, there will be a free activity area where participants can do free matches, test out techniques, try out different weapons (naginata, yari, wakizashi, Dan Dao, nodachi) while waiting. You will never get bored!
