Learn how to use pen and ink to create an elaborate letter in the Fraktur style of the late 1700s. After learning a bit of this fascinating history, participants will have templates and examples from which to draw inspiration as they make one large letter of their own. Finding ways to express individual style within the Fraktur tradition is encouraged -and all ability levels are welcome. Perfect to give as a gift or keep as your own.All supplies are included. Watercolor sets in the traditional Fraktur colors will be available to use for this workshop or bring your own watercolors, colored pencils, or other medium of choice to add color to your finished ink Fraktur. (Fraktur watercolor sets will also be available for purchase for $20 at the end of the workshop.)
All ability levels are welcome.
The workshop is held in the Museum Store second floor classroom - there is one flight of stairs.
