FRAGMENTS OF US POETRY EXPERIENCE
Join us for another installment of Fragments.
An evening filled with poetry and inspiration at Alke Café in Harlem, NY.
Fragments— it’s a movement built on action, community, and showing up for something bigger than ourselves.
A platform for men to be heard without judgment. Their voice, truth, and lived experience through poetry and spokenword.
Freeing themselves from the stereotypes placed on them.
This month we will have Educator, Advocate, author and poet Omar @adventuresofcray.
We will hear new pieces from his book "UN Deux Trois" which speaks to our scars, dreams & being misunderstood and more.
After the performances we will hold space and have our first-of-its-kind Q&A session that seperates the art from the artist.
This space was created to give opportunities to men who may not have an outlet to express themselves without judgment.
Fragments is more than an event, it is an experience that you will need to witness for yourself.
"We Listen, But we Don't Judge"
Each 2nd Friday of the month, David Hopper, a 2x published author, filmmaker, and community advocate, serves as the curator and host of the event.
David leads a journey where he turns his pain into poetry.
We include the audience where they ask questions and are able to have a full discussion with the artist.
Whether you're a seasoned poetry lover or simply looking for a night of artistic expression, this event is perfect for anyone who wants to experience the power of words.
