In this exhibition I show works relating to the concept of what a portal is, what happens when we pass through one, and what is the nature of the shift that occurs, be it emotional or mental, paradigm shifts or actual physical traversal of space.
I’ve been asking myself, «what is the nature of the unseen world?», as I’ve explored the themes of portals, but also expanded into ideas of membranes or veils, and that of interconnectedness and unity through a matrix.
The works represent my findings, and the exhibition is titled Fragments to reflect the pockets and pieces I have uncovered so far on my quest.
All the works have a minimalistic touch and are not meant to convey any defined solid shape, but streams of consciousness, thoughts, and perspectives. I have intentionally removed as many materials and extra details as possible, in the hopes of conveying something sublime, or making the topic more approachable. They are very much the artistic expression of how this spiritual, and philosophical, deep dive has taken shape, and I regard them as notes on the path of my discoveries.
