Jane Frank Presents FOXY SUNDAY, a *FREE SHOW* featuring Jane Frank, Carlie Mari, & Michelle Louise
As each songstress brings their own fierce energy and captivating sound to the stage, get ready for nostalgia, powerful voices, and raw emotion - all in an afternoon!
JANE FRANK
Jane Frank’s original music is comprised of eclectic autobiographical songs with influences that range from the 1950s (Buddy Holly), the 70s (Blondie), into the 90s with Weezer, and all the way up to the 2000's indie rock surge of Rilo Kiley. On paper, Jane’s style may read like a scattered amalgam of sounds, but when heard, outlines a unique, memorable, and fun experience. Jane has previously released an ep and album with Tommy P at 11th Ave in San Francisco.
Jane continues to write and play, embracing the stage solo after several years performing and recording with a rotating backing band. She has recently settled more into herself, trading lights, glamour, glitter and wigs in favor of stripped-down, emotionally charged sets that will hit you right in the feels. While her former works were piano and guitar based, she currently totes around her new fave instruments, her ukuleles, on which she composes new tunes and recites tons of covers, often complimented on her flair for fresh interpretations. Her music has been described by media as transcending generational divides, and praised for being “sweetly earnest, and knowingly jaded, in just the right proportions.”

CARLIE MARI
Carlie Mari fuses music, theater, and crowd participation to create a feeling of catharsis. A native of the San Fernando valley, Carlie began her musical journey as a means of self-preservation. After a deep family tragedy upended her world, Carlie began taking solace in the ease of anonymity of being in LA. She began writing songs alone in her room, then dressing up in a blue wig and dress and performing to audiences throughout Venice Beach and greater Los Angeles.
Carlie eventually made her way to San Francisco, and has self-released a number of singles. In addition, her 2017 EP, ‘Bitch Like Me’ is a raw and authentic sound described as “hard hitting and catchy”, “honest sounding and 90s”, and resulted in spontaneous audience sing-alongs at her shows.
Carlie recently also started a multi-dimensional project, Marina Demonz, for which she recently shot and released a music video. Carlie notes Amy Winehouse as a major influence because she embraced the darker qualities of her experiences and was not self-censored. Rather than shy away from uncomfortability and vulnerability, she paves the way through performance for unique experiences in which we confront our humanity, in all its complexity, in a meaningful and authentic way.

MICHELLE LOUISE
Michelle Louise has experience playing as a solo musician and has also been a part of several bands, including cult movie themed band “Citizen Midnight,” experimental country group “dinnerwiththekids”, spaghetti western surf band “Hangtown,” classic rock cover band “Dry Heat” and punk rock powerhouses “The Love Bombs.” The Love Bombs released their album “Let’s Go!”, composed entirely of Michelle’s originals, in 2023, and her solo album of original music, “For Love”, was released in 2018.
After a long and winding path that led from Minnesota to San Diego; San Francisco to Arizona; and finally from Las Vegas back to the Bay Area, Michelle is excited to once again grow roots in the Bay Area music scene. Her music is an eclectic mix of powerful vocals, distinct rhythms and catchy melodies. This will be her first show in San Francisco since returning to the City two months ago after living away for 8 years.
