The Fox River is a vital natural resource that supports wildlife, provides recreation, and contributes to the beauty of our region. Taking time to care for it helps ensure it remains a safe and vibrant space for generations to come.For the eleventh year in a row, State Representative Anna Moeller and Friends of the Fox River are hosting a Fox River clean-up event, Saturday, May 2 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Gail Borden Library in Elgin.
Volunteers will meet at Gail Borden Library, 270 N Grove Avenue, Elgin and work together to remove litter and debris from the surrounding area.
Participants are encouraged to bring gloves, pick-up tools, and plastic shopping bags or buckets, though supplies will also be available on-site. Dressing appropriately for the weather is recommended, along with bringing water and snacks.
