About this Event

Matty Gottesman is a 20-year-old recording artist born and raised in Los Angeles. Matty writes and produces all of his own music. His work is enhanced by performances from some of the industry’s greatest session players: Amos Heller on bass (who plays with Taylor Swift, Thomas Rhett, Florida Georgia Line), Matt Billingslea on drums (Taylor Swift, Lady A), and Brent Paschke on guitar (Pharrell Williams, The Neptunes, Post Malone, Katy Perry, Beck). He has also performed alongside major artists such as Hunter Hayes and Seal, and most recently opened for multiple shows of Jake & Shelby’s national tour. His release “Sleepless Summer” won Best Pop Song in the 2022 USA Songwriting Competition. When he is not working on his artist project, Matty is either writing with and/or producing other artists, studying at UCLA (where he is a junior), or finding ways to help others. In high school he started Charity Rocks, an organization that brings young musicians together to perform in benefit concerts to raise money for various nonprofit organizations.
Fowler Out Loud is an evening concert series that invites UCLA students from various disciplines to perform at the museum.
