Hello everyone, and welcome to March! Winter will be in the rearview mirror soon enough. But right now we have another bar tour night on the schedule! We'll be hitting a mix of longtime favorites and new spots. We'll be heading out on Friday, the 21st of March. Here's the plan. We'll get started at: 5:45 - 6:30: The Junction Pub (222 S. Riverside Plaza) Near West Side: We will start here with the after work crowd and have one at the bar, and maybe grab a couple for the road (train) before piling into the Metra Southwest Service. We hop off at Ashburn and walk a block or three over to
15 - 8:15: Vito and Nick's (8433 S. Pulaski) Ashburn: A group favorite for sure, this place doesn't boast a particularly complicated drink menu. They have three kinds of beer and maybe a dozen cocktails. But the pizza is, quite possibly the best thin crust in the city of Chicago. And that's not light praise. After dinner, up the road we go for a trip to
30 - 9:15: Los Panchos Mexican Bar (4141 W. 63rd) West Lawn: Usually we visit Mr. C's on our trips to West Lawn. But we should mix it up just a bit, and under no circumstances are we ever going back to Conrad's Place. So let's get some beers and/or margaritas. Then continue the trip back north to
30 - 10:30 - Just One More Sports Bar (5332 S. Kedzie) Gage Park: This spot has it all. Cash only, buzz in through the security door, soccer and boxing, and a Spanish-speaking staff. Promises to be a great time. Finally, off to:
45 - 11:45 - Michael's Sports Lounge (4501 S. Archer) Brighton Park: This looks like a nice little cornerside neighborhood spot that's been there for better than sixty years. We'll stop in for one or two to end the night before a trip home
