An Institute for Common Power event, hosted by Professor David Domke and Director Dr. Terry Anne Scott. Let's go! Four months until Election Day . This event is timed to the 60th Anniversary of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
In this defining year of 2024, in a presidential campaign that will determine the fate of American democracy, we face daily lies, racial and misogynistic offenses, attacks on voting and democracy, and decimation of our civil liberties. It's brutal for all, and absolutely heart- and soul-breaking for too many. That's exactly what MAGA Nation wants.

But we are going to make it, by being together and being intentional in filling our cups of hope and determination. This event is not a fundraiser. It is a heartraiser. Come for learning, community, inspiration, hope, strength, music and poetry, fun and games, resolve, commitment. We will have all of it, in multiple doses.

To be straightup: What these 24 hours together won't be is polished, scripted, or without glitches. What they will be is authentic, intentional, uplifting, and determined. These are essential ingredients to carry us through this monumentally difficult year.
