About this Event
If the daunting world of fountain pens has ever interested you, join us at The Sticker Shop on Thursday March 20 where we will show you how accessible (and addicting) fountain pens really are! Each participant will receive their own fountain pen and ink refill cartridges and learn how to refill, clean and maintain them - you may never use a ballpoint pen ever again! Our teacher, Amy Owens, a Certified American Cursive Handwriting instructor, will give you all sorts of pointers on how to improve your own penmanship, whether you use print or cursive in your daily life. We will learn the basics of good posture, pen hold and paper positioning, as well as learn the keys to evaluating and improving your own writing. Each participant will also receive a notebook with fountain pen friendly paper and a set of beautiful handouts to further your own penmanship journey.
All materials needed for this class (and to take home) will be supplied including:
- Wit & Delight 'Note to Self' Journal
- Kakuno Fountain Pen
- 1 roll of Washi Tape
- I sheet of Fountain Pen Inspired Stickers
- Extra Namaki Ink Cartridge
The class is designed for adults, but kids 13 and older are welcome (with adult supervision if necessary.) Light refreshments will be served.
Accessibility: The Sticker Shop is wheelchair accessible with access to accessible bathrooms. Please let us know if you need any other accessibility accomodations or food allergies.
