We are excited to announce the "Building a Strong Advocacy Network to Advance Tobacco & Nicotine Prevention" workshop series. This will be a three-part series that will be facilitated and presented by Health Resources in Action, Tobacco-Free Rhode Island, Oasis International, and the Rhode Island Department of Health Tobacco Control Program.
Session 1
During session one- we will lay the foundation for advocacy at the individual level. It will define key terms such as advocacy, education, lobbying, and preemption, and provide an overview of Rhode Island civics. Participants will be introduced to a tool to help them get to know their individual decision-makers.
