About this Event

Foundation Blender 3D Modeling Ages 10+

1:1 mentorship, technical software instruction, and guidance on social and emotional development are the hallmarks of our Foundation Programming, which requires specific hardware and software for participation.

Now your child’s creativity can go beyond two dimensions with an introduction to 3D modeling using Blender, a free web-based software. Students will work one-on-one with a mentor online via Zoom over the course of 7+ hours to learn the basics of the craft used in many industries, including gaming, architecture, movie production, engineering, and commercial advertising.

Week one (tech week) will provide an introduction to their mentor and an overview of the technical aspects of Blender software. The remaining classes will feature software instruction, collaboration, and creation alongside their mentor. The final week culminates with an in-class presentation and celebration of their work.

All participants will have projects published to SketchFab, the largest online platform for publishing and sourcing 3D models.
