About this Event
For this one-of-a-kind, one-day art festival, I lead a free morning workshop with three facilitators that brings residents and visitors together in fun and creative ways. Using discarded materials scavenged throughout the neighborhood and goods brought from home, participants make environmentally friendly art for a few hours.
In the afternoon, I exhibit the resulting sculptures in celebration of Earth Day. Using household items and other thrown-away objects, participants turn "trash" into “art”. The repurposed materials are on view for inspiration and appreciation.
Funded by a Projects, Events, Festivals Grant from the Commission on the Arts and Humanities.
